The Longview Bib Shirt is a pullover shirt with a full button on bib made of the same 100% cotton fabric as the base shirt. The buttons are metal Texas star pattern similar to those used in the post Civil War period. Available colors include: Navy blue, black, burgundy, Red, and Khaki.
Bib shirts originated as Civil War uniform shirts or blouse. Many men wore the shirt issued to them during the war and continued to wear them after they were released from service. After the war ended several clothing manufacturers produced the same or similar designs made from cotton fabric rather than the wool used for uniforms. These shirts were popular with those men heading west seeking fame and fortune after the war.
